Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 6, 2026
PrintGuard ("we", "our", or "us") operates the website printguard.online(the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights in relation to it. By using the Service you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information We Collect
Documents you upload: Files are encrypted entirely in your browser before transmission. Our servers receive only encrypted ciphertext. We cannot read your documents at any point. All uploaded data is automatically and permanently deleted within 1 hour of upload, or immediately upon printing, whichever comes first.
No account or personal data: PrintGuard requires no registration. We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or any personally identifiable information as part of normal use.
Technical data: Like most web services, our servers automatically receive standard HTTP request data such as your IP address, browser type, and referring URL when you access the Service. This data is used solely for security (rate limiting, abuse prevention) and is not sold or shared with third parties for marketing purposes.
2. Cookies and Advertising
We use Google AdSense to display advertisements on the Service. Google AdSense uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to serve ads that are relevant to you based on your browsing history.
Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to our site and/or other sites on the Internet. You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to our website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies allows it and its partners to serve ads to our users based on their visit to our site and/or other sites on the Internet.
For more information about how Google uses data when you use our partners' sites or apps, please visit Google's Privacy & Terms.
3. How We Use Information
- To operate and improve the Service
- To prevent abuse, spam, and malicious activity (rate limiting)
- To serve contextual and interest-based advertisements via Google AdSense
- To respond to your enquiries when you contact us
4. Data Retention
Encrypted document data is deleted automatically — within 1 hour of upload or immediately after the print session ends, whichever is sooner. We do not retain any copies. Server access logs (IP addresses) may be retained for up to 30 days for security purposes, after which they are deleted.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share data only in the following limited circumstances:
- Google AdSense — to display advertisements (see Section 2)
- Cloudflare — for bot protection (Turnstile), DDoS mitigation, and content delivery
- Legal obligations — if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of users
6. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or object to the processing of your personal data. Because we collect minimal data and retain none of it beyond 30 days, most requests can be fulfilled simply by the passage of time.
To exercise any rights or to make a privacy-related enquiry, please contact us at [email protected].
7. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
